A Founder’s Story

“Fox Traffic Control was born from a lifetime spent working at the intersection of construction and community.

As the founder, my adult life has always centred around these two worlds. On one hand, I have built my career within the construction industry — supporting commercial subcontracting, supply and software services, and hands-on operational work such as masonry and materials handling.

Across these businesses, my focus has consistently been on people: strengthening human resource practices, maintaining strong safety cultures, and ensuring compliance standards that protect both workers and the public.

At the same time, my personal journey has been deeply grounded in community service. For more than 20 years I have been a foster carer, working closely with families during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. This has included long-term involvement in family restoration and collaboration with organisations such as Barnardos and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. These experiences have shaped my understanding of resilience, responsibility and the importance of creating genuine opportunities for people to move forward.

In 2025, the opportunity arose to establish Fox Traffic Control. Rather than being a departure from my past, it felt like a natural progression — a chance to bring together decades of industry knowledge with a lifelong commitment to community impact. Supported by formal qualifications in construction and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, I set out to build a business that delivers high-quality traffic management services while also creating pathways into meaningful employment for women.

Fox Traffic Control represents a long-held vision: a company grounded in professionalism, safety and practical experience, but equally driven by purpose. Every project reflects not only technical expertise, but also a belief that strong businesses can help build stronger communities.”
